(No offense meant to our Indian friends)

But let us pause for awhile and think… Are all debts bad? Is it really a negative point in society?

The answer is no. Not all debts are bad.

There are, what you call, good debts and mostly, rich or successful people know about this.

That’s why they are rich and successful!

Skip the bad.

What is a bad debt?

It is borrowing money you do not have and spending it on things that will not profit you.

Pagkatapos ano?

You are left with expense (interest plus principal loan) rather than profit. That is what we consider a bad debt.

Go for the good!

A good debt is when you borrow money so you can multiply that money and make profit. Normally, ito ay mga business loans.

May naisip kang negosyo na alam mong kikita ngunit kailangan mo ng start-up capital.

So, uutang ka for the sole purpose of making profit.

Borrow money to make more money.

With that kind of “poor thinking”, diyan madalas maraming nadidisgrasya at nababaon sa utang.

Tandaan: never spend money before earning it.
