PROCRASTINATION
– A word we are too familiar with.
“Ah! Mamaya ko nalang ito gagawin!”
“Bukas nalang! Marami pa namang time!” o kaya,
But despite how unfortunate that sounds, procrastination affects our lives in far more damaging ways.
In this blog, we’ll show you how procrastination ruins your life and I hope after reading this you can break free from the bubbles of “ I’ll do it later or next week!”
#1 In Procrastination, Every Decision You Make Takes Longer
#2 You End up Stuck
When you procrastinate, you end up putting things off until it’s too late.
Maaari nitong sirain ang iyong mga pagkakataong na maging successful, as well as your relationships. Alright, also not to mention, it can also lead you to health problems and financial ruin.
So, what can you do about it?
Una…
Deep breath.
As long as you’re working hard, the outcome should be positive.
Pangalawa…
And last…
Hindi ko naman sinasabi na tama o gagana ito sa lahat ng bagay pero… tell someone about your goals!
Friends or Family are an excellent support system who will keep you accountable and help remind you why it’s important to stay on task!
#3 TO-DO Lists Take Longer to Complete
If you’re constantly putting things off, your to-do list will only get longer and more daunting.
This can lead to even more procrastination.
Magkakaroon ka ng mas kaunting oras upang tapusin ang mga ito, kaya as usual, aabutin ka ng oras and ofcourse, the time spent on the task will likely be low quality as well, since anxiety makes it difficult for people to focus or perform at their best.
#4 Self-Esteem Suffers
One of the main ways procrastination ruins your life is by destroying your self-esteem.
When you put off doing something, you are essentially telling yourself that you’re not good enough to do it. This can lead to a spiral of negative thinking that can be hard to break out of.
#5 You Worry About What Others Think
You constantly worry about what others think of you and whether or not you’re good enough.
But the truth is, worrying about what others think is a waste of time.
No one is thinking about you as much as you think they are. And even if they are, who cares? Their opinion doesn’t matter.
#6 You Get Angry At Yourself for Not Doing Anything
When you procrastinate, you get angry at yourself for not doing anything.
#7 You Feel Like Failure
When you procrastinate, you often feel like a failure.
Pakiramdam mo, kung sanang nag simula ka kaagad, nagsimula ka lang ng mas maaga o nagtrabaho ng mas maigi, you would be further along than where you are now.
This can lead to feelings of inadequacy and frustration.
#8 You Get Frustrated Easily

We often procrastinate because we’re afraid of failing.
We tell ourselves that we’ll do the task later when we’re feeling more motivated or when we have more time. But by putting off the task, we’re only setting ourselves up for failure.
I hope this blog hits you to do better and be kind to yourself.
