Dahil sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) na ipinapatupad sa buong bansa, maraming mga daily wage workers, businesses and their employees ang affected.
Walang movement. Walang kita. Walang income.
Here are some government programs to help businesses and workers during this pandemic.
- Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps)
At bibigyan din sila ng additional P3,650 up to P6,650 (depending on minimum wage per region) per month hanggang matapos ang pandemic.
- COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP)
This support program initiated by DOLE is for regular and contractual employees working for an affected business that is either closed due to the ECQ or has implemented flexible working arrangements such as forced leaves or reduction of working hours.
- Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS)
These are for workers in Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). If you qualify, you will be given P5,000 to P8,000 cash support in 2 tranches this month of May through your SSS UMID or bank account. You can check SSS website for the complete details.
- Social Amelioration Program (SAP)
Ito naman ay para sa mga low income families at risk of not earning a living during ECQ. 1 beneficiary per household lamang ang entitled sa SAP. This is headed by DSWD. If you are a Senior Citizen with no pension, PWD, buntis, lactating mother, single mother or ang status mo ay No Work No Pay, pupwede ka makakuha ng financial assistance dito. Pero kung nakatanggap ka na sa CAMP or SBWS or sa iba pang programa ng ating pamahalaan, you are not allowed to seek assistance here anymore.
You can loan between P10,000 to P500,000 with a very minimal interest rate of 0.5% per month. For more details, you can visit the website of DTI.
They are in-charge of this program.
Despite all the challenges and struggles we are facing right now, it still feels good to know that we are not alone.
That our government is devising programs that will help each and every Filipino.
