12 Things To Keep In Mind Before Making A Jump From Employee To Entrepreneur

Jump From Employee To Entrepreneur
There are things to keep in mind before making a jump from employee to entrepreneur.

Maybe you are thinking to quit your job now and want to start your own business.

There are some factors why you want to shift from employee to being an entrepreneur.

Or you really want to experience time and financial freedom.

But before you decide to quit your job put in mind that jumping to be an entrepreneur, you will face challenges that are far different from being an employee.

So let’s begin discussing what are things you need to consider before you jump into entrepreneurship.

1. Responsibility

Before you jump into new challenges as an entrepreneur, at ikaw ay bread winner sa family mo you need to consider your responsibility.

Think about first kung kaya mo ba masustain yung pangangailangan ng family mo in terms of Financial and time commitment.

Being an entrepreneur requires a different mindset. So, kelangan pag aralan mo muna maigi ang pagnenegosyo bago mo pasukin ito.

Don’t just quit your job because you want to escape from a bad relationship with your colleagues, or you just hate your boss.

If you have this kind of intention, things will not work for you. You cannot be an entrepreneur.

 2. Timing

When I say timing, You need to know when is the right time to quit your job.

Paano ba malalaman ang right timing? It is when you are ready, you have the right mindset, right skills, na kailangan mo para maging entrepreneur.

So you need to invest in knowledge, you need to undergo a learning process.

3. Comfort zone

Being in a corporate world, makes you feel comfortable.

Hindi mo na problema yung income mo every month because your company will provide it for you.

But then suddenly you feel that you want to escape your job and you are thinking it is more comfortable being an entrepreneur like other people you know.

Nagkakamali ka, it will be more uncomfortable and it will take some time para kitain mo yung amount na gusto mo or higit pa sa sweldo mo nung employee ka pa.

Jumping into entrepreneurship is being ready outside the comfort zone.

4. Learning new skills

The skills that you have in a corporate world are not the same skills you need in entrepreneurship.

It is a different set of skills that you need to learn kung papasukin mo ang pagnenegosyo.

Here are some skills that you need to acquire in jumping to entrepreneurship.

People Skills, Marketing Skills, Selling Skills, Business Finance, Networking Skills, communication skills, and other new skills

5. Business Models

Kung decided ka na maging entrepreneur, this is one factor you need to consider.

Kailangan mo alamin anong business model ang papasukin mo. Kung ito ba Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Services, Franchise, or Freedom Business.

A lot of people nowadays are into the freedom business. This is a business model that does not require a physical office coz you can do it at home.

A product, other people’s products, and consulting and coaching are some of the examples of freedom business model.

So make sure na malaman mo muna anong business model ang gusto mo.

6. Passion

Again, siguro parati mo na itong nababasa or naririnig. Passion is very important in jumping from employee to entrepreneur.

You need to know what are the things that you love to do. You need to discover what are the things that you are passionate about.

Because, If you don’t have the passion and just jump in dahil alam mo na kikita ka ng malaki sa business model na yun or dahil yun ang trending.

It will not work that way, because you don’t understand the concept ng pinasok mong negosyo.

So it is very important that you really know what you are passionate about.

7. Working Hours

Getting into business, You need to consider the working hours.

It will take more time than what you spend working in your job.

Kapag nagsisimula ka pa lang sa negosyo, tandaan mo na it requires a lot of time, energy, and effort kapag nag uumpisa ka pa lang.

Hindi sya katulad ng pagiging employee na you only work for 8 hrs a day ay ok na.

To achieve your result in business you need to consider the working hours to succeed.

8. Confidence

You need to believe in yourself.

You need a lot of confidence para magwork yung business model na napili mo.

9. Strong Mindset

Yes, you need to have a strong mindset before you jump into business.

You need to train your mind, to focus on what is important, what really matters.

Kpag may focus ka sa isang bagay na gusto mo ma- achieve, it’s not easy for you to give up.

Kaya mong harapin yung mga challenges. Na kahit gaano kahirap, hindi ka nakatingin doon sa pain,or sa struggle na nararanasanan mo because you knew that is not permanent.

In other words, you need to focus on the things that will help you to achieve your goals.

10. Validation

Before quitting your job and start a business, you need to validate your ideas.

The purpose of idea validation is to make sure your idea has real demand.

Kailangan mo muna itest yung business idea mo bago mo ilaunch ang isang produkto.

And some start-up companies naghahire pa sila ng market researcher.

Product validation, You need to determine if the product you want to sell is in demand sa target market mo.

You need to know kung yung product mo ay isa sa mga gusto ng mga mamimili na bilhin. You can do research, or you can do a test selling.

11. Milestone

You need to have a clear milestone. You need to set a goal kung magkano ang gusto mong kitain for the first 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and so on.

Kailangan gumawa ka ng plano. Setting a date when to start and when to end.

You need to choose a deadline. Creating a milestone is key to moving your business forward.

12. Money Management

In Business, you need to manage your finances well.

Like employees do, but I think yung mindset ng isang employee how to manage their income ay umiikot lang sa savings at expenses.

Let say; Tax- 30%

Business Operation – 20%

General Expenses- 30%

Charity- 10%

Wealth- 10%

To be a successful entrepreneur you must thoroughly understand the numbers that drive your business.

That will give you the knowledge you need to keep your company running.

I hope na i- consider mo lahat ng nabanggit dito sa article na ito bago ka magshift sa pagnenegosyo.  Its a process, at pinag iisipan ng mabuti.
